Communications Manager

Space Adventures, Ltd., the only company in the world to have launched paying passengers into space, is in search for a Communications Manager that would report directly to the Director of Communications. Work in a team atmosphere in a fast-paced environment, assist with, but in certain instances, independently drive U.S. and global media relations campaigns.

  • DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities include comprehensive media monitoring/reporting and tracking of upcoming/pending media coverage; press material development to include backgrounders, fact sheets, FAQ, press releases and media advisories; monitor industry intelligence; manage Media Resources section of web site and intranet; research editorial calendars; continually update media database; assist in coordination of press events and media tours.

  • REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER:
    • BA required, in public relations or journalism preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience in public relations arena required, agency experience preferred.
    • Proficient computer and research skills also required.
