Space Adventures is the only private company to have successfully flown clients to the International Space Station. It is also the only private space exploration company with an established track record of success. You have probably heard of our clients' spaceflight experiences in the news - Dennis Tito in April 2001, Mark Shuttleworth in April 2002, Gregory Olsen in October 2005, and Dice-K Enomoto who is currently training for his September 2006 spaceflight. No other company has conducted more market research, developed more private spaceflight preparation and training methodologies and technologies. And no other company has more experienced team, which compromises of nearly twenty former astronauts and cosmonauts who work with or advise Space Adventures on its spaceflight programs.
Since May of 2001, Space Adventures has completed three Orbital Flights to the International Space Station (ISS), and the fourth flight is scheduled for September of 2006. In addition to Space Adventures' flights to the station, the company offers an incredible opportunity to fly twice a year on our Soyuz "swap out" missions, also referred to as "taxi" flights. While the Space Shuttle fleet is undergoing an operations overhaul, the regularly scheduled Soyuz TMA taxi flights have still been flown, and are now being used for all ISS crew transfers. One commercial seat is available on each taxi mission. The taxi flights are typically in the spring and fall of each year.
