All of Space Adventures' suborbital spaceflights are preceded by four days of intensive training and flight preparation. Not only is this an important step for your safety aboard the flight, but completing the training will enrich your flight experience significantly. The training familiarizes you with the flight program, critical vehicle systems, flight operations, zero-gravity conditions, in-flight accelerations and spaceflight safety procedures. On launch day, you don your pressure suit, and our flight specialists guide you through the final checklist, reviewing everything you learned in the previous days' training.
In an unprecedented sensory experience, rocket motors boost you beyond the normal limits of flight to regions above 62 miles (100 kilometers) - where space begins. As you reach your maximum altitude, the rocket engines will be shut down, and you experience up to five minutes of continuous weightlessness, all the while gazing at the vast blackness of space and the blue horizon of the earth below. To commemorate your spaceflight, we award you with official Space Adventures astronaut wings and formal mission documentation.
