President Bush's vision for NASA is truly inspiration for many including myself. Once set into action, it will provide the opportunity for not only the United States, but also the rest of the world, to explore the last great frontier, space. Space exploration to date has not only benefited our scientific knowledge of Earth and the solar system, but has also directly led to many technological advancements including weather forecasting, communications, computers and medical devices that are now worth tens of billions to the world economy. Our country, our world and especially our young people will benefit by as President Bush put it "continuing the journey". Investing in these objectives will reap many benefits that we, here on Earth, will be able to experience including new jobs in the public and private sectors and space based resources that will eventually be incorporated into our daily lives. I also agree with the President on the need to inspire young people of this world to pursue careers in math, science and engineering. (The United States, for far too long, has rated near the bottom in math and science scores among industrialized nations.) As we all know, human beings have always had the desire to explore and learn – we need to inspire our children and our children’s children. Nothing big ever happens from making small plans. So, think big, the sky is no longer the limit!
